The Klub will open its doors this month thanks to new owners Charlie and Betty Triggs. They are hosting a business celebration on Friday, August 19 at 3:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend and join them in celebration the opening of their new business.
The Triggs announce that the Klub with be a family oriented restaurant, servings everything from burgers to steak to pork chops along with a daily buffet.
Charlie and Betty have been in the restaurant business for 20 years and hope to bring that experience to the table to help The Klub flourish.
Their banquet room allows large parties to be hosted such as the Sportsman’s dinner and Ducks Unlimited banquets.
One interesting feature of the restaurant is the Waterfowlers Hall of Fame and museum, which draws many visitors who come to the area for hunting.
The Trigg family has been passionate about the restaurant business for many years, especially while Betty worked at the Klub in previous years.
“I fell in love with the people and atmosphere,” Betty commented.
She also explained that people come from all over the world to hunt in Mound City for bird and deer seasons. She is looking forward to being able to provide a welcome place for them to dine. Betty has been busy finding the right equipment and a balance of good help for her staff as well as finding what people want to eat and creating a menu full of the food people crave. Her greatest joy since becoming the new owner is meeting new people.
The Triggs have enlisted the help of Northwest Missouri Enterprise Facilitation, whose facilitator, Keli Morris, has help them with marketing ideas to let people know more about the restaurant.
